Anna Yardley, 83
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Sophia Yardley of Shattuc were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, with burial following in Pritchett cemetery near Boulder.
Mrs. Yardley died Sunday, June 27th, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was 83 years old.
Born in Hoffman on Nov. 5th, 1915, Mrs. Yardley was a daughter of August and Elizabeth Daum Nolte. She married Edwin Lee Yardley in Ferrin on Feb. 16th, 1946, and he survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Thompson of Odin, Dianne Kendall of Cabot, Ark.; one son, Calvin Yardley of Shattuc; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Henry Nolte of Carlyle.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Edna Bennett and Clara Speiser and two brothers, August and Bill Nolte.
Before retiring in 1982, Mrs. Yardley had been a cook at Yaw Nursing Home in Odin and Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was a volunteer at Warren G. Murray Center in Centralia.
She also was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
