Merle See, 83, of Kinmundy, brother of Ella Mae Knuf of Carlyle, died Friday, June 2nd, 2000, at his home.

A son of Chesley Paul and Hulda Maslow See, he was born in Omega on June 27th, 1916. On Feb. 9th, 1934, he married Alice Edna Smith. She died Nov. 10th, 1951. On Aug. 23rd, 1952, in Omega, he married Thelma Belle Mulvany, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Ron See of Winfield, Eddie See of Iuka and Jim See of Chino, Calif; one stepson, Charles Bundy of Centralia; four daughters, Jean Monical and Pat Vest, both of Salem, Rita See of Kinmundy and Mrs. Vicki Wilkerson of Iuka; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one grea-great-grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Knuf of Carlyle, Elsie Rose, Mary Diss and Hilda Powell, all of Salem and Inez Douthill of Long View, Tex., and three brothers, twin, Verle See, and Leroy See, both of Salem and Earl See of San Diego, Calif.

A retired farmer, Mr. See was a member and elder of Lovell Grove Church and was a trustee of the Lovell Grove cemetery. He also was a member of the Omega Boosters.

Services were held at the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem at 11 a.m. Monday, June 5th. Rev. Jerry Ezell officiated with burial in Lovell Grove cemetery.
