Walter G. Siddell, 91

Life-long Huey resident Walter G. Siddell died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Saturday, Jan. 10th, 1998. He was 91 years old.

A son of Gilbert B. and Mollie Ebley Siddell, he was born in Huey on Oct. 12th, 1906. On Sept. 5th, 1930, in Waterloo, he married Olive M. Hempen. She died Oct. 22nd, 1996.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jane Morgan of Huey; one son, John Siddell of Huey; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Siddell, Eleanor Bromley, and Flora Edmiston, and one brother, Sam Siddell.

Mr. Siddell was a retired farmer and charter member of Laborers and Hodcarriers Local 581 of Carlyle.

His funeral was held at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Tuesday, Jan. 13th, at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Sheron Murray officiating. Burial was in Carlyle cemetery.
