Alfred Schrage, 66

Alfred F. "Dreagon" Schrage, 66, of Breese died at his home on Sunday, May 31st, 1998.

A son of Fred and Dorothea Buehne Schrage, he was born in St. Rose on March 2nd, 1932. On Aug. 4th, 1956, in Belleville, he married Alice Huelsmann, and she survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Jim Schrage of Danville, Ind., Mark Schrage of St. Rose, Brian Schrage of Boulder, and Mike Schrage of Aviston; one daughter, Sheila Wieter of Aviston; six grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Schrage of Breese; and five

sisters, Mrs. Elsie Holtgrave of St. Rose, Mrs. Bernita Mensing and Mrs. Helen Welters, both of Breese, Mrs. Arlene Peek of Aviston, and Mrs. Bridget Zimmermann of Fairview Heights. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Paul, and Richard Schrage, and a sister, Rosalie Schrage.

Mr. Schrage was a retired truck driver for Wade Sales and Service in Breese. He was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Breese and men's sodality of the church.

Rev. Melvin Haas officiated at services held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Augustine's with burial following in St. Augustine-St. Dominic's cemetery in Breese. The Moss Funeral Home in Breese was in charge of arrangements.
