Blanche Rensing, 68

Mrs. Blanche Rensing of rural Nashville, a sister of Rosalyn Altman of New Baden, died at her home on Monday, March 12th, 2001, after an extended illness. She was 68 years old.

Mrs. Rensing was born in Mascoutah on Nov. 16th, 1932, a daughter of' Harry and Irene Knobeloch Krausz. On Nov. 25th, 1950, in New Baden, she married Cornelius Rensing, and he survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Stephen Rensing of Hoyleton; three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Srogus of Freeburg, Mrs. Teresa Hayden of Hoyleton and Beth Kees of Nashville, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Other survivors are five sisters, Ms. Altman of New Baden, Mrs. Dorothy Schanz, Mrs. Helen Mueller and Violet Schroeder, all of Mascoutah and Mrs. Carol Schlechte of Worden and one brother, Ralph Krausz of Granite City. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Clinton and Richard Krausz.

Mrs. Rensing had worked at the Martha Manning Dress Factory in Mascoutah and then at Kindercare Millerville Academy while living in Baton Rouge, La. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose of Centralia and American Legion Auxiliary in Mascoutah.

She also was a member of St. Barbara's Church in Okawville, where services were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday). Rev. Al Jerome officiated with burial in the church cemetery. The Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville was in charge of arrangements.
