Ralph Ratermann, 78

Former Breese resident Ralph U. Ratermann died Monday, March 1st, 1999, at his home in Alton.

A son of Henry and Catherine Feltrop Ratermann, he was born in Breese on July 27th, 1920.

Survivors include four brothers, Richard, Melvin, Henry "Bud" and Jerry Ratermann, all of Breese; three sisters, Alvina Voss of Breese, Florentine Ripperda of Trenton and Olivia Landmann of Highland, He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvester and Alfred Ratermann and one sister, Agnes Detmer.

Mr. Ratermann was retired from Alton State Hospital laundry department.

Rev. Patrick Peter will officiate at services at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4th at St. Dominic's s Church in Breese. Burial will follow in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery in Breese. Visitation will be at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese from 5 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
