Dale Quick, 82

Dale L. Quick, 82, of rural Boulder died at his home on Sunday, March 11th, 2001.

Born on June 27th, 1918, at the same residence in rural Boulder, he was a son of Albert and Lura M. Orrell Quick. On Aug. 10th, 1941, in Old Monroe, Mo., he married Alice Murray, and she survives. Two sons, Ronald D. Quick of Plymouth, Mich., and Roger A. Quick of Hinsdale; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Lela Keister of rural Shattuc and one brother, Burl Quick of rural Shattuc, survive. A brother, Harold Roffman, preceded him in death.

Mr. Quick owned and operated a trucking company before he became Chief Deputy Sheriff in Clinton county, until 1957, when in the line of duty, he was severely injured in an automobile accident that took the life of then Sheriff Daniel Parker. He also had served as Chief Deputy Treasurer for Clinton county and was a long time member of the Community Unit One School board in Carlyle.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, March 17th, at the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval with Rev. Harold Quick officiating.

In keeping with Mr. Quick's wishes, his remains were cremated and burial was in Prairie Chapel cemetery near Boulder. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 16th, at the Day Funeral Home.
