Henrietta Ozella, 82
Life long St. Rose resident Mrs. Henrietta "Yettie" Ozella died at Highland Health Care Center on Sunday, July 15th, 2001. She was 82 years old.
A daughter of Anton and Emma Holtgrave VonHatten, she was born in St. Rose on Jan. 28th, 1919. She married John V. Ozella in St. Rose on Sept. 26th, 1950, and he survives in St. Rose. One son, John A. Ozella of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Sackett of St. Rose and two grandsons, survive.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Albert VonHatten.
Mrs. Ozella organized St. Augustine's Men's Choir in Breese in the late 50's and the St. Rose Women's Choir in the 80's. She was a volunteer organist for many local nursing homes and played with many local orchestras. She was a member of the American Federation Musicians Local 175 in Highland. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, member of Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle, St. Rose Church in St. Rose and Altar Sodality of the church.
Rev. Edward Schaefer officiated at services held at St. Rose Church today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
