Florence Niemeyer, 81

A private funeral mass for Ms. Florence A. Niemeyer of Breese was held today (Wednesday) at St. Dominic's Church in Breese. Rev. Patrick Peter officiated with burial in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery in Breese.

Ms. Niemeyer died Sunday, Dec. 30th, 2001, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Aviston. She was 81 years old.

A daughter of Ferd and Elizabeth Strake Niemeyer, she was born in Breese on Aug. 29th, 1920. Survivors include one brother, Eugene "Nip" Niemeyer of Breese; one step-brother, Lawrence Robben of Breese and one step-sister, Sister Rose Marie Brefeld of Trenton.

Preceding her in death were her parents, step-father, D. Henry Robben; one brother, Charles "Nip" Niemeyer; one sister, Catherine Niemeyer and one step-brother, Robert Robben.

Ms. Niemeyer wsa [sic] a retired school teacher amd [sic] member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.

The Moss Funeral Home in Breese was in charge of arrangements.
