Edward Mondt, 90

Ninety year old Edward H. Mondt of Aviston died at St. Joseph' s Hospital in Breese on Friday, Nov. 13th, 1998.

A son of John and Anna Feldmann Mondt, he was born on Sept. 19th, 1908 in Breese township. On Sept. 12th, 1939, in Aviston, he married Sophia Renschen, and she survives.

In addition to his widow, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Langhauser and Mrs. Juliana Holtmann of Breese; three sons, Andrew Mondt of St. Peter, Mo., Jerome Mondt of Aviston and Edward Mondt of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Fenaia of Aviston. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cornelius and Joseph Mondt.

A retired farmer, Mr. Mondt was a charter member of Breese Knights of Columbus and was a 50 year member of Catholic Fraternal Life, Council 28. He also was a member of St. Francis Church in Aviston and Mens Sodality of the church.

Rev. Steve Witte officiated at services at St. Francis at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16th, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation was at the Brefeld Funeral Home in Aviston.
