Dominic Beckmann, 61

Life-long Bartelso resident Dominic "Nick" Beckmann died at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Aviston on Thursday, Oct. 19th, 2000. He was 61 years old.

Born in Bartelso on April 15th, 1939, he was a son of Fred and Elizabeth Wessel Beckmann. On Nov. 14th, 1964, in Beckemeyer, he married Bernette Timmermann, and she survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Angie Bunch of San Antonio, Tex.; four sons, Thomas and Jeff Beckmann, both of Bartelso, Rodney Beckmann of Breese and Calvin Beckmann of New Baden; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Leo, Alois and Alfred Beckmann, all of Carlyle and Jerome Beckmann of Highland and four sisters, Mrs.Johanna Diekemper of Carlyle, Mrs. Mary Mueller and Blanche Brueggemann, both of Bartelso and Helen Heidenreich of St. Louis. Two brothers, Paul and Leonard Beckmann, preceded him in death.

Mr. Beckmann was a retired dairy farmer and former member of Mid- America Dairy Association. He was a member of the Bartelso Community Development Club.

He also was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Bartelso where services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23rd. Rev. Henry Fisher officiated with burial in the church cemetery.
