John H. CARVER
John H. Carver, Keyesport, died January 29 at 4:44 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese. He was 74.
Funeral services were held January 30 at Zieren-Day Funeral Home, Carlyle. Interment was at McKendree Chapel, Keyesport, with Rev. Ed Schmulbach officiating.
Carver was born September 11, 1912 in Keyesport to John and Anna (DUBBELDEE) Carver. On February 16, 1932, he married Ivah JENNINGS in Carlyle and she survives.
Also surviving are sons, Ralph and Melvin of Keyesport, a brother Mirza of Carlyle, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarissa GUM, Troy and Mrs. Irene KEEN, Carlyle, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
Carver was a lifelong resident of the Keyesport area and retired from the East St. Louis Inner Urban Water Company in 1974. He was a member of the Keyesport Senior Citizens and Labor and Hod Carriers Local 100.
