Died in Brookside on the 11th, Mrs. Caroline Hoag; aged 63y 10m 3 d. She was born in Saratoga Co NY to Huston and Electa (Reed) McMillan. She married Peter Hoag 1 Nov 1849. They settled in Centralia in 1856.

Survivors include the husband, 7 children; (Mrs Mary Elizabeth Teets, William Silas, Clarence Huston, Charles Benjamin, Mrs Laura Carrie Miller, Mrs. Jenny P Jones and Arthur Nelson,) and 2 brothers (Henry P. and Adolph H. McMillan).
