Charles Gerstner, 66

Funeral services for Charles F. Gerstner, 66, of Breese, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4th, at St. Augustine's Church in Breese. Rev. Steve Poole officiated with burial following in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery in Breese.

Mr. Gerstner died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 1st, 1999.

A son of Aloys and Gertrude Meyer Gerstner, he was born in Aviston on May 26th, 1933. On Dec. 5th, 1953, in Breese, he married Jackie Wade, and she survives.

In addition to his widow, survivors include two sons, Gary and Rick Gerstner, both of Breese; his mother of Carlyle; six grandchildren and one brother, Donald Gerstner of Breese.

A brother, Robert Gerstner, preceded him in death.

Mr. Gerstner was a retired plumber having worked for Gerstner Plumbing of Breese. He was a 46 year member of Plumbers Local 360 in East St. Louis.

Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
