Calvin Knutt, 63

Keyesport resident Calvin L. Knutt died at his home on Saturday, March 27th, 1999, after a brief illness. He was 63 years old.

A son of William and Nellie Sanders Knutt, he was born in Keyesport on Jan. 6th, 1936. On July 30th, 1960, in Herando, Miss., he married Carol Sussen and she survives.

In addition to his widow, survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sue Blankenship of Keyesport; two sons, Bryan Knutt of Beckemeyer and Derek Knutt of Keyesport; seven grandchildren and four sisters, Marcella Cain, Lucille Brumfield and Maudine Orrell, all of Patoka and Doris Patton of Wamac.

He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Knutt; one sister, Betty Binger and two brothers, Buster and Bobby Knutt.

Mr. Knutt served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a construction laborer for over 40 years, being a member of Laborers Local 670 in O'Fallon.

Rev. Tom Hoffmann officiated at graveside services held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29th, at McKendree Chapel cemetery.

Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle was in charge of arrangements.
