A Mass of Resurrection for Thomas A. Kampwerth, 56, of Carlyle, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14th, at St. Anthony's Church in Beckemeyer. Rev. Steve Poole will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kampwerth died suddenly Monday, Jan. 11th, 1999, in St. Louis.

A son of Lawrence and Agnes Lammers Kampwerth, he was born in Breese on Dec. 29th, 1942. On Aug. 27th, 1966, in Carlyle, he married Judy Raterman, and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Kent Kampwerth of Carlyle and Eric Kampwerth of Downers Grove; two grandsons; his mother of Beckemeyer; one sister, Mrs. Helen Vahlkamp of Carlyle and two brothers, Lawrence "Turk" Kampwerth of Breese and Stan Kampwerth of Bartelso.

Three brothers, Marcel, Leroy and Cyril Kampwerth, preceded him in death.

Mr. Kampwerth worked for Consolidated Freightways in St. Louis. He had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Teamsters Local 600. An advocate of organ donations, he made his available for donation.

Visitation is at the Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) and from 8 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday.
