Vincent Kalmer, 80

Trenton resident Vincent A. Kalmer died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Jan. 2nd, 2002, at the age of 80 years.

A son of Frank and Theresa Korte Kalmer, he was born in Damiansville on Jan. 18th, 1921. On June 19th, 1943, in Aviston, he married Anna Rakers and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Duane "Dewey" Kalmer of Peoria and Bradley Kalmer of Trenton; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Welling of Trenton; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Kalmer of Damiansville and one sister Cecilia Haas of Carlyle.

A retired salesman, Mr. Kalmer was a member of St. Mary's Church in Trenton, Men's Sodality of the church and life member of the Trenton Knights of Columbus. He also was a retired Trenton volunteer fireman, member of the Trenton Sportsman's Club and had been on the founding committee for the Clinton County Baseball League in 1945.

Rev. James Dougherty officiated at services held at St. Mary's at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5th. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
