Edward Huelsmann, 87

Funeral services for Breese resident Edward A. Huelsmann were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24th, at St. Augustine's Church in Breese. Rev. Steven Poole officiated with burial following in St. Augustine-St. Dominic's cemetery in Breese.

Mr. Huelsmann died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland on Friday, Oct. 20th, 2000, at the age of 87 years.

A son of John and Mary Angela Poettker Huelsmann, he was born in St. Rose township on Dec. 15th, 1912. On April 22nd, 1936, in Breese, he married Mary Eleanor Voss, and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Gerald Huelsmann of Trenton; six daughters, Mrs. Catherine Diekemper and Mrs. Betty Ruth, both of Breese, Mrs. Pat Horman of Mascoutah, Mrs. Wilma Ruppel of Bowling Green, Ky., Mrs. Helen Beckmann of Beckemeyer and Sister Joetta Huelsmann, PHJC of Donaldson, Ind.; 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Bertha Rakers and Mrs. Dorothy Masching of Breese. Six brothers, Theodore, Otto, Cyril, Frank, Ferd and Lawrence Huelsmann, preceded him in death.

Mr. Huelsmann was a retired farmer, member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and Breese Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of St. Augustine's Church and Mens Sodality of the church.

Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
