Fred Lake, Jr., 66

The funeral of Fred Lake Jr., of Carlyle was held at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6th. Msgr. Angelo Lombardo officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lake died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Sunday, Oct. 4th, 1998. He was 66 years old.

Born in Salina, Kans., on Dec. 14th, 1931, he was a son of Fred J. and Rose M. Hilmes Lake, Sr. On Oct. 30th, 1956, in St. Rose, he married Rose Woltering and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Danny J. Lake of Carlyle; two daughters, Patricia Emery of Carlyle and Mrs. Paula Anglen of Sandoval; five grandchildren and two brothers, Ralph Lake of Bartelso and Robert Lake of Peoria.

Mr. Lake was a retired sales/ delivery person for Carlyle Distributing Co. He was a member of Carlyle Knights of Columbus and had served as a Deputy Grand Knight. He was a member of Teamsters Local 50 in Belleville.

The Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle was in charge of arrangements.
