Mr. John W. Blackwell died last Sunday afternoon, at his residence, in this place. Mr. Blackwell has been a resident of this county for a good many years. His disease was cancer; and for many months he has suffered terribly from its slow but sure effects-sapping and undermining the vitality of his strong constitution. He was a good and industrious citizen, and his place will not easily be filled.
