A subscriber writes to us from Trenton as follows: "The dead body of an unknown man was found on Friday morning, October 27th, 1865, in the stable of Jacob SIMON, of Trenton, Ill. Deceased was a German by birth, and had landed in this country but a short time since--being old and without money, his efforts to obtain lodging were fruitless--at last weary and exhausted, was compelled to take shelter in the stable where his remains were found. It is supposed Deceased came to his death from debility and exposure. No inquest was held. The people of this part of the county have a singular way of getting along without complying with the law in this respect."
