Eleonora M. Becker, 92

Eleonora M. Becker of Beckemeyer died Tuesday, Oct. 14th, 1997, at the Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was 92.

Mrs. Becker was born in Bartelso on May 25th, 1905, a daughter of George and Anna Gerken Mensing. She married Henry Becker on April 24th, 1923, in Beckemeyer, and he preceded her in death in 1956.

Sue is survived by two daughters, Bernice O'Brien of Mt. Vernon and Dolores Isaak of Beckemeyer; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Becker.

Mrs. Becker was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Church in Beckemeyer, the Married Ladies Sodality, the American Legion Auxiliary, and V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony's on Saturday, Oct. 18th, at 12:30 p.m., with Fr. Richard Weidert officiating. Interment will be in St. Anthony's cemetery.

Friends may call at Zieren-Day Funeral Home in Carlyle on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
