Floyd Eversgerd, 85
Aviston resident Floyd H. Eversgerd died Saturday, April 3rd, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Aviston at the age of 85 years.
Born in Germantown on Feb. 4th, 1914, he was a son of Henry and Josephine Stamann Eversgerd. On Nov. 19th, 1941, in Breese, he married Wilhelmina A. Richter. She died April 1st, 1997.
Three sons, Vernon Eversgerd of Highland, Julius Eversgerd of O'Fallon and Marvin Eversgerd of Breese; one daughter, Mrs. Fran Gilmer of Belleville; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Henry Eversgerd, Jr., of Germantown; two step-brothers, Hugo Eversgerd of Indiana and Jerome Eversgerd of Germantown and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Thuenemann of Trenton, Mrs. Lillian Driemeyer of St. Louis and Mrs. Virginia Hansen of Omaha, survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Aloys, Vincent, Ray and Greg Eversgerd and one sister, Isabel Pavlich.
Mr. Eversgerd was a retired truck driver for Boeckman Milk Hauling and was a shoe repairman for many years.
A member of St Francis Church in Aviston services were held there at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 6th. Rev. Dan Friedmann officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was at the Brefeld Funeral Home in Aviston.
