Albert Debatin, 90

Albert E. Debatin, 90, of Carlyle died Sept. 27, 1995, at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. Born in Wheatfield township on April 16, 1905, he was a son of Emil and Emma Heinzman Debatin. On April 8, 1934, in Jamestown, he married Velma Henkel and she survives. Other survivors include three sons, Dallas Debatin of Fresno, Calif., LaVerne Debatin of Robinson, and Roger Debatin of McDonough, Ga.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Laura Frutgier of rural Pocahontas.

Mr. Debatin was a retired farmer. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle. He also belonged to the Clinton County Farm Bureau, Clinton County Soil and Water Conservation Board, and was a past president of Clinton County Service Co.

Rev. Jim Hilker officiated at services held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Zieren-Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Burial was in Payne cemetery, north of Keyesport.
