Lloyd Daniels, 80
Carlyle resident Lloyd "Bus" Daniels died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese On Saturday, March 20th, 1999. He was 80 years old.
Born in Bond county on Aug. 22nd, 1918, he was a son of John O. and Alice Borror Daniels. On Sept. 21st, 1940, in St. Charles, he married Mildred Laux and she survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Susanne Peters of Carlyle; two grandsons and one sister, Mrs. Pat Branyon of Columbia, Mo. He was preceded in death by a half brother, Lester Taylor and sister, Beulah Helpher.
A retired operating engineer, Mr. Daniels served in the Navy in World War II. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle. He also was a member of Operating Engineers Local 520, Scott Lodge #79 AF & AM, Centralia Shriners and Carlyle American Legion.
Rev. Jim Hilker officiated at services held at Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle at 11 a.m.Tuesday, March 23rd. Burial followed in Carlyle cemetery.
