Dolly M. Burris

April 30, 1937 - April 14, 2008

Dolly M. Burris, 70, of Breese, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at her residence.

She was born April 30, 1937, in New Madrid County, Mo. to Willis Earl and Ida Mae (Stanfield) Jackson and they preceded her in death. She married Delbert D. Burris on August 29, 1959, in Shawneetown and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Maude Linley, Cally Robinson, Sally Mitchell and Janice Nicolaides.

Surviving is a daughter, Deb (John) Hollenkamp of Centralia; a son John Burris of Centralia; two grandsons, Greg (Niki) Shadegg of Breese and Austin Burris of Troy; brothers, Welton (Dana) Jackson of East Prairie, Mo., Rev. William "Sonny" (Joyce) Jackson of Harold and Gary (Connie) Jackson of Harold; sisters, Imogene Day of Sikeston, Mo., Reva (Denny) Bargetzi of Highland and Ida Gilreath of Highland.

She was a homemaker and formerly worked in production at Arrow Group Industries in Breese. She was of the Protestant Faith and was a member of the Centralia VFW Auxiliary Post 2055.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. William "Sonny" Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in Ellwood Cemetery in Breese.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, April 17, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
