Bertha Timmermann, 88

Life-long Breese resident Mrs. Bertha J. Timmermann died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Sunday, Feb. 14th, 1999, at the age of 88 years.

A daughter of Joseph and Anna Peek Niemann, Mrs. Timmermann was born in Breese on Sept. 30th, 1910. On Feb. 19th, 1936, in Breese, she married Charles Timmermann. He died March 12th, 1956.

Survivors include five sons, Ralph and Donald Timmermann of Breese, Thomas Timmermann of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Charles Timmermann of Waxahachie, Tex., and Richard Timmermann of Pittsboro, Ind. ; two daughters, Mrs. Rita Taylor and Mrs. Mary Ann Kuhl, both of Breese; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and one brother, Bernard Niemann of Breese.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, John, August, Aloys and Vincent Niemann.

Mrs. Timmermann was a cook at Mater Dei High School and worked in the laundry department at St. Joseph's Hospital, both in Breese.

Rev. Patrick Peter officiated at services held at St. Dominic's church in Breese on Tuesday, Feb. 16th, at 11:30 a.m. Burial was in St. Dominic-St. Augustine's cemetery, in Breese.
