Romilda C. "Remy" Meyer, 88, of St. Rose, died at Breese Nursing Home on Sunday, June 11th, 2000.

Born in St. Rose on March 25th, 1912, Mrs. Meyer was a daughter of Bernard and Louise Klostermann Woltering. She married George Meyer in St. Rose, on May 11, 1932. He died Oct. 14th, 1966.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Imelda "Millie" Jansen of Belleville, Mary Lou Isaac of Highland, Mrs. Flo Hannagan of Monmouth Junction, N.J., Maureen "Moe" Goestenkors of Aviston, Mrs. Dolores "Lori" Williamson of Columbia, Md., and Mrs. Geri Ratermann of Breese; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a son, Larry Meyer, great-grandson, Brent Meyer; three brothers, Ben, Henry and Bill Woltering and five sisters, Rose Poettker, Elizabeth Woltering, Josephine Dumstorff, Augusta Henrichs and Bertha Poettker.

Mrs. Meyer had retired from the housekeeping department in St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.

She was a member of St. Rose Church and Altar Sodality of the church, Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718, St. Rose Development Club and Breese Senior Citizens.

Services were held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Church with Rev. Edward Schaefer and Rev.

Robert Meyer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
