Eighty-eight year old Carlyle resident Mrs. Dorothy Isaak died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland on Sunday, May 5th, 2002.
A daughter of Henry and Cleo Cole, Mrs. Isaak was born in Tamalco on Dec. 25th, 1913. On Aug. 15th, 1935, in Beckemeyer, she married Paul T. Isaak. He died Feb. 17th, 1992.
Two sons, Paul Isaak and Howard "Woody" Isaak, both of Highland; one daughter, Mrs. Gay Rensing of Grove City, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Dieckmann of Keyesport and one sister, Waneta Schiwerjohn of Germantown, survive.
Mrs. Isaak was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 40 years, of which she served as president five times and was a past president of the Carlyle Senior Citizens. She and her husband had operated Carlyle Quality Egg business for several years. She also quilted for other people.
A member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, services were held there at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday), Rev. George Mauck officiated with burial following in the church cemetery.
