Iris Dewald

A funeral for Iris (Belcher) Dewald, 83, of Copperas Cove, Texas, was held there on December 1.

She was born February 15, 1924 in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Lester and Fae (Haburn) Belcher, and was a graduate of Carlyle High School in 1942.

Mrs. Dewald and her husband, Louis F. Dewald, had lived in Copperas Cove, Texas, since 1959. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in November, 1999, a daughter in 1960, and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Louis W. Dewald of Copperas Cove, two daughters, Carole Curits of Mineral Wells and Coleen Timmons of Copperas Cove, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Local survivors include her brother, Maurice Belcher of Mulberry Grove, and her sister, Mary West of Keyesport.
