J. Keith Foster, 88, of Winter Haven, Fla., father of Mrs. Nancy Hester of rural Shattuc, died at Winter Haven Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 7th, 2000.

Born in Centralia on Sept. 10th, 1911, he was a son of John M. and Eva Easley Foster. On Sept. 27th, 1936, in Sandoval, he married Hazel I Hicks. She died June 26th, 1976.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hester of rural Shattuc, Mrs. Donna Sanders of Winter Haven, Fla., and Mrs. Betty Gregory of Mt. Vernon; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and one sister, Margaret Foerstel of Osage Beach, Mo.

A brother, Maurice Foster and one sister, Mary Rippy, preceded him in death.

Mr. Foster was a farmer in the Sandoval area for 40 years and after retiring in 1978, moved to Florida. He had served as the Sandoval township road commissioner for 20 years.

He was a member of the Sandoval United Methodist Church and Sandoval Masonic Lodge No. 932.

Rev. Ray Long officiated at services held at the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
