William "Bill" Delahunt, 67, of Stockton, Calif., and formerly of Carlyle, died Saturday, June 10th, 2000, at LaSalette Nursing Home in Stockton.
Born May 15th, 1933, in Newton, he was a son of William Marcus and Olive "Sue" Myer Delahunt. In 1960, in Carlyle, he married Edith Richey, and they later divorced.
He is survived by one son, Lawrence Delahunt of Carlyle; two daughters, Hope Delahunt of Breese and Mrs. Melissa Sturgeon of rural Carlyle; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; one sister, Evelyn "Kay" Haier of Carlyle and two brothers, Jack Delahunt of Henderson, Nev., and Robert "Bob" Delahunt of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Dean Delahunt, in infancy, and William "Marc" Delahunt.
Mr. Delahunt served in the United States Army from 1950-1954. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
According to his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held in Stockton.
At a later date, graveside services and burial will be in Aron.
