John HAAS, aged 72 years, died at Albers last Friday. Deceased was born in Bavaria, Germany, when he came to America, he located in this vicinity. Later on he was married to Katherine CEILMANN and four sons were born to this union, namely Emil, John, Tony and Fred Haas. John, Tony and Fred reside here while Emil lives at Albers Station.

His second wife was Marguerite FOSTER and one son was born to them, namely Frank.

He leaves to mourn his death the above named children besides three brothers, Sebastian of Hamilton Co., John of our community and Lawrence Haas of Mascoutah. The funeral took place on Monday from Albers to Trenton where services were held in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rev. BONSEL officiating. Interment was in the cemetery east of town.
