Frieda C. Kohlbrecher, 94, of Trenton, died Sunday, March 16, 2007, at Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle.
She was born February 6, 1914, in Aviston, to Bernard and Catherine (Dall) Venhaus and they preceded her in death. She married Joseph Kohlbrecher on September 25, 1940, at St. Francis Church in Aviston and he preceded her in death November 24, 1997.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kohlbrecher; brothers, Ludwig and Lawrence "Pep" Venhaus; sisters, Marcella Venhaus, Alma Rohling and Florence Holtgrave.
Surviving are sons, Daniel (Sharon) Kohlbrecher and Bernard (Pam) Kohlbrecher all of Trenton; a daughter, Kathryn "Kit" (Maurice) Timmermann of St. Rose; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Brad) Maue, Beth (Michael) Gross, Jay (Sharon) Timmermann, Brent (Cheryl) Timmermann, Kelly (Martin) Zeller, Craig (Roxanne)
Kohlbrecher, Kevin (Angie) Kohlbrecher, Cory Kohlbrecher, Jeff Kohlbrecher and Nicole Kohlbrecher; 10 great-grandchildren, Paige and Blake Maue, Devon, Lauren and Jordyn Gross, Alison and Jacob Zeller, Madelyn and Reese Kohlbrecher, Keegan Kohlbrecher;. brothers, Edwin Venhaus of Aviston, Elmer "Bud" Venhaus of Trenton, and Bernard (Rosemary) Venhaus of Aviston; sisters, Esther Kues of Florissant, Mo., Elvira (Lawrence) Tonnies of Trenton.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. James Dougherty officiating.
Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.
Moss Funeral Home in Trenton handled the arrangements.
