The death of Mrs. Frank Kurth, residing near Shattuc, occurred at her home Monday, December 7. She was a daughter of Mr and Mrs. William Wedekemper, who have long been residents of Meridian township. Annie Wedekemper was born January 3, 1875, near Shattuc, and has made her home in that vicinity every since. She was united in marriage in 1896, to Frank Kurth and to them were born four children, three of whom are living. She is also survived, by her husband, father, mother, three brothers, Will, Ben and Henry, four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Stein, Mrs. Louisa Heinzmann, Mrs. Kate Roettemeyer and Miss Lena, the latter being single. The funeral took place Wednesday, December 9, from the Evangelical church at East Fork, Rev. Juchhoff of Carlyle having charge of the ceremonies. Our sympathy is extended to the bereaved.
