John W. Sargent of Keyesport is Dead

Funeral Was Held at Two O'Clock P. M., Today

Keyesport, Monday - After suffering only about nine hours with apolexy, John W. SARGENT, residing two miles north of Keyesport, passed away at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

He was born July 4, 1869 on the farm where he was raised, and has since resided until last May, when he was married to Mrs. Lena HUGHES, of near Keyesport.

The funeral was held at two o'clock this afternoon at the Methodist church in Keyesport, by Rev. Phillips, of Odin. The burial was in the Duncan cemetery.

Mr. Sargent was a son of Leonard and Eliza Sargent. He had resided with his mother all his life until he was married last spring. She is now 89 years of age.

Surviving him are his wife, mother, and one half-sister, Mrs. Ida APPLE, who lives with her mother. He also leaves four step-children, Hollie, Clyde, Fern and Nellie.

Mrs. Mabel QUAYLE, of Decatur and Mrs. Lillie ZOBRIST, of Indiana, are at Keyesport to attend the funeral. They are nieces of the deceased.
