Florence R. Albers, 78, of Germantown died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville.

Born June 30, 1928, in Aviston, she was the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Heimann) Richter and they preceded her in death. She married Charles J. Albers on July 18, 1956, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston and he survives in Germantown.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by a daughter, Connie Albers and friend John Speck of St. Louis; a son Dennis Albers and wife Sandy of Bartelso; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Matthew Albers; and three sisters, Leona Richter of New Baden, Valeria Ripperda of Belleville and Ruth Schrage of St. Rose.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Aunt, Vera Schaefer, who raised her and her brothers and sisters after the death of her mother; and by two brothers, Leo Richter Jr. and Virgil Richter.

She retired from Arrow Group Industries in Breese and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church Germantown, the Germantown American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday March 13, at 11 .m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating.

Burial followed at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Moss Funeral Home in handled the arrangements.
