Roy Lee Wells, 59
Roy Lee Wells, 59, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Carlyle, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Sept. 20th, 2006.
He was married and divorced to Martha Blanton.
He is survived by his wife, Marietta Belarmino; sons, Roy Leslie and Ross Martin; one daughter, Lisa Denise; four brothers, Ken, Lester, Clyde and Jim; two sisters, Karen and Doris; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Adeline Wells.
He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a food service supervisor. After retirement, he was employed by Goodwill industries as project manager at MacDill Air Force Base. He was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded numerous medals: Air Force Outstanding Unit award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with one Silver Oak Leaf cluster; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, with three service stars; Humanitarian Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, with three oak leaf clusters; Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm device; and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal.
Brewer and Sons South Tampa Chapel handled the arrangements with Military Honor Guard.
