Florence K. Kressig, nee Eschmann, 94, of Breese, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at her residence.

She was born September 14, 1914, in Breese, to Henry and Anna (Meirink) Eschmann and they preceded her in death. She married Joseph Kressig May 28, 1949, at St. Augustine Church in Breese and he preceded her in death June 13, 2009.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Victor Eschmann; sisters, Martha Holtgrave, Clara Pollmann, Nova Hodapp and Eleanor Eschmann.

Surviving are sons, David (Carol) Kressig of Breese, Stephen (friend Eileen Wright) Kressig of Kauai, Hawaii; a daughter, Mary Ann (Les Brandt) Kressig of Huntsville. Ark. ; two grandchildren, Sarah (Keith) Harvie of St. Louis and Jake Kressig of Breese; three great-grandchildren, Miles, Kaden, Savannah Harvie.

She was a homemaker and retired nurses aid from St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality, Breese Senior Citizens.

A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held, Thursday, September 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Joseph Rascher and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.

Burial followed in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, September 3 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese which is handling the arrangements.
