Sally Lawler

Sally Lawler, 71, of Carlyle, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.

She was born in Carlyle on April 20, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Emily (Cameron) Huene. She married Pat Lawler in Carlyle on March 11, 1955, and he survives.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Chuck) Hall of Carlyle, Marla (Kenny) Sieffert of Carlyle and Patrice Berne of O'Fallon, Mo.; eight grandchildren: Chad (Amber) Jansen, Jamie (Brian) Wesselmann, Douglas Jansen, Kyle, Keith and Emily Sieffert, Mallory and Cameron Berne; and five great-grandchildren.

Before her illness, she worked at the Carlyle Lake Golf Course. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Carlyle. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, crocheting and stitching and served many years as the secretary of the Carlyle Women's Bowling Association.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Carlyle with Father George Mauck officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. or on Thursday from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
