Helen M. Boeker

Helen M. Boeker, 93, of Hoffman, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle.

Mrs. Boeker was born on June 13, 1915, in New Minden, a daughter of William "Bill" and Emma (Reinhardt) Jording. She married Charles W. Boeker on August 19, 1933, in Centralia, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1990.

Mrs. Boeker is survived by two sons, Wayne Boeker and wife Marilyn of Elizabethton, Tenn. and Orville Boeker of Hoffman; a daughter, Hazel Neumann and husband Glenn of St. Jacob; her grandchildren, Tim Kruse and wife Shari of St. Jacob, Lisa Forehand and husband L. D. of Salem and Everett Smith and wife Lori of Elizabethton; and her great-grandchildren, Cody and Alleigh Kruse, Rachael Forehand and Lindsey Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a son, Jerome Boeker; and a sister, Laura Schnieder.

Mrs. Boeker was a homemaker and sold Avon products in the area for over 40 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Clinton County Homemakers Extension and the American Red Cross Chapter in Centralia and the Women of the Moose.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Burial followed at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoffman.
