Donata M. Absher, 47, of Carlyle and formerly of Bartelso, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis,

She was born June 23, 1961, in Breese to Frank and Agnes (Hustedde) Schroeder, Sr. and they survive in Bartelso.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Robert Absher of Carlyle; sisters, Carol (Kerry) Price of Washington, Mo., Rebecca (Gene) Price of Bourbon, Mo. Diane (Terry) Storey of Ina, Marilyn (Joseph) Ottenschnieder of Germantown and Shelly (Darvin) Zeisset of Aviston; and brothers, Kenneth (Barb) Schroeder of Bartelso, Kevin (Karen) Schroeder of Breese, Frank Schroeder, Jr. of Germantown, Steven (Lisa) Schroeder of Bartelso, and Timothy (Stacy) Schroeder of Albers.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herman and Martha (Lake) Hustedde; and her paternal grandparents, Henry and Caroline (Eilers) Schroeder.

She worked as a dietary aid at Aviston Countryside Manor and was a member of St. Mary Church in Carlyle where she was the Kindergarten PSR Teacher.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer and Fr. George Mauck officiating.

Burial followed in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso.

Moss Funeral Home in Germantown handled the arrangements.
