William B. Greer

William B. "Bob" Greer, 82, of Beckemeyer, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Breese Nursing Home.

Mr. Greer was born October 5, 1926, in Ashport, Tenn. to Walter and Henrietta (Griggs) Greer and they preceded him in death. He married Hyacinth "Helen" Childers on December 1, 1951, in Hernando, Miss. and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2002.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Greer; and sisters, Claudeen Rose, Joey Watkins and Rubyneal Hubbard.

Surviving are his children, Jimmie (Jodie) Greer of Gardner, Kan., Doug (Barb) Greer of Breese and Eddie (Karen) Greer of Breese; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Greer, James Greer and Walter Greer; and sisters, Mary Lents and Charlcia Marshall.

He retired from General Motors where he worked in assembly.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. Burial will be held Thursday in Childers Cemetery in Eva, Ala. Moss Funeral Home in Breese is handling the arrangements.
