JoDean C. Pigg, 78, old of rural Sandoval died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at her home in rural Sandoval.

She was born on November 9, 1930, in Junction City, the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Grasher) Rohner. She married Ray Pigg on July 15, 1949, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1999.

Survivors include sons, Daniel Pigg of Rural Sandoval and Jeffery (Lois) Pigg of Shattuc; brothers, Donald (Barbara) Rohner of Sandoval, Larry (Judy) Rohner of Centralia; sister, Marilyn (Pete) Deglomine of Maitland, Fla.; grandchildren, Steve (Lynn Ann) Pigg of Centralia, Angie (Scott) Ballah of Boulder, Jessica (Mike) Hilmes of Carlyle, Wes (Amy) Pigg of Junction City, Tom Pigg of Centralia, Andy Pigg of Carlyle, Katy Pigg of Tennessee; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Josephine Pigg; a son, Phillip Pigg; brother, James Rohner and a grandson, Ben Pigg.

She lived her entire life in the Sandoval area. She was a homemaker and mother. She is of the Catholic faith. Her family remembers her enjoyment in fishing, caring for livestock and most of all spending time with her family.

A celebration of life service was conducted on Saturday February 7, at 10 a.m. from the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval with Rev. Scott Niermann officiating.

The funeral service and burial was held in Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Sandoval.
