Helen W. Holtgrave, 87

Helen W. Holtgrave, 87, of St. Rose, died Monday, March 13th, 2006, at the Caring First Nursing Home in Breese.

Born Jan. 31st, 1919, in Bartelso, she was the daughter of John and Mary Henrichs Ribbing and they preceded her in death. She married Edwin "Hoppie" Holtgrave on May 10th, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 16th, 1990.

She is survived by two sons, Stan Holtgrave of St. Rose and Mike Holtgrave of Maryville; one daughter, Jeanette Dierkes of Germantown; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Marie Micheel [sic] of Germantown, Agnes Korte of St. Rose, Eleanor Potthast of Pierron, Betty Usselmann of Aviston and Anna Timmermann of St. Rose.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in- death by a grandson, Brad Holtgrave; three brothers, Arnold, Raymond and Ralph Ribbing; and a sister, Johanna Waiters.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Rose Church and Alter Sodality, Daughters of Isabella and the St. Rose Senior Citizens.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16th, at 2 p.m. at St. Rose Church with Father Edwin Schaefer officiating.

Burial will followed in the St. Rose cemetery.

Friends may call the Moss Funeral Home in Breese today, Wednesday, March 15th, from 4 to 9-p.m. and Thursday, March 16th, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
