Helen C. Davis

Helen C. Davis was born on December 28, 1947, in Murphysboro, a daughter of Leroy and Beatrice (Davis) Marshall. She married Norman Davis on April 14, 1967, in Breese and he survives in Carlyle.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, fishing and spending time with her family.

She entered into rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at her residence in Carlyle. She was 60 years of age.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Beatrice Marshall of Carlyle; two daughters, Helen Wells and husband Donald of Carlyle and Michelle Herzog and husband Dennis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a son, Homer Davis and wife Becky of Fairdealing, Mo.; four grandchildren, Crystal Mosley, Sandy Herzog, Bryan Davis and Chelsey Wells; a step-grandson, Danny Wells; a step great-grandson, Conner Wells; and four brothers, Elden, Eddie, Gene and James Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, December 11, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Burial followed at Carlyle Cemetery.

Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle handled the arrangements.
