Raymond M. James

Raymond M. James, 71, of Boulder, died on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Mo.

He was born on June 30, 1937, in Rolla, Mo. He is the son of Harry R. and Olive L. (Carroll) James-Masterson and they preceded him in death. He married Patty J. Hintz on March 26, 1959, in Boulder Illinois and she survives him in Boulder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kelly Hays of Boulder, Kim (Mark) Neff of Clare; a sister, Carol Conrad of Sandoval; grandchildren, Teagan Neff, Carson Neff both of Clare.

He lived in Boulder since 1959. He worked as an operating Engineer for 45 years before retiring in 1998. He worked for W&O Contractors in Centralia for 20 years and then on many construction projects from the Local 520. He is a retired member of the Operating Engineers Local 520 of Mitchell. He was a current member of the Clinton County East Water Board, former member of the East Fork Quail Club and he also served as president of the Club. He also farmed for 15 years. He is of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed collecting and watching Eagles, but most of all he enjoyed visiting with friends and sharing stories. He was extremely proud of his family and especially of his grandchildren, he was very proud of all of their accomplishments.

A celebration of life service was held Friday, December 12, at 11 a.m. from the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval. with Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating.

Funeral service and burial was held in the Pritchett Cemetery in Boulder.

Day Funeral Home in Sandoval handled the arrangements.
