Harold A. Haumesser, Jr., 78, of Carlyle, died Monday, December 29, 2008.

He was born in Wade Township in Clinton County on April 11, 1930, the son of Harold A. Haumesser, Sr. and Lisette Lappe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pansy Defend.

He was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle where he had served on the Church Council and Finance Board. He was also a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Clinton County Electrical Co-Op.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 31, at noon at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Burial will follow at the Carlyle Cemetery.
