Sallie A. Pearson

Sallie A. (Lindsey) Pearson, 67, of Pocahontas, formerly of Carlyle, died at her residence on December 30, 2008.

She was born in E. St. Louis on January 2, 1941, and married Frank C. Pearson there in 1965. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1973.

Survivors include three daughters: Joyce Williams, Pinckneyville; Cathy (Peter) Paulercio, Pocahontas and Carla (Terry) Fultz of Milroy, Pa.; one son, Frank C. (Lori) Pearson, II of Pocahontas; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mary Margaret McCoy and Jynx Allen Bolin, a brother, John Lindsey and a sister, Mabel Ponder.

She was a homemaker, retired from Germantown Egg Co., and had been a seamstress in St. Louis for St. Louis Sewing Mfg. Co. and Quip Industries in Carlyle. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Pocahontas, and former member of Ladies Auxiliary of Iron Workers Local 392, E. St. Louis.
