Willie Mae Macon

Willie Mae Macon, 94, of Greenville, formerly of Centralia, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.
She was born on July 9, 1914, in Paris, Tenn., the daughter of Les and Beatrice Lovelace Stokes. She married Willie Macon on October 13, 1938, in East St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1986.
She is survived by seven of her 10 children, Harold (Bessie) Rudder of St. Louis, Willie T. Macon of Greenville, Henry (Pam) Macon of Greenville, Jackie (Sheila) Macon of Greenville, Rev. Theodore (Avis) Macon of St. Louis, Roy Macon of Mulberry Grove, and Diane (Raphael) Rush of Centralia; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie Macon; sons Willie B. Rudder, Joe Macon and Rickie Macon; and four step-children, Lillian Currin, Mary Ellen Todd, Laura Wytch and Hatha Caldwell; and sisters, Peggy Joyce Allan and Minnie Mae Edwards.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Hazel Dell Cemetery.
